Horizontal tie rod ASDO355 ASDO460 ASDO500 and ASDO700 are upset forged tie rods, which are used to connect sheet piling wall, high modulus piles and concrete walls. Unlike traditional forging in which a parent metal is heated and forged into a smaller dimension upset forging is a process by which the parent metal is increased in sectional area. In the case of ASDO anchors this allows the ends of a bar to be increased in section and threads cut or rolled onto the forged cylinder, this gives the advantage of reducing the stress in the thread.

Anker Schroeder tie bars has many fittings, like turnbuckle and coupler, articulated turnbuckle, link plates, cardan joint etc. The choice of steel grade for tie bars ASDO 355 ASDO 460 or ASDO 500 ASDO 700 depends on a number of factors, whilst the higher strength steel will always produce the lightest weight tie rod this may not be suitable for stiffness requirements, onsite welding or lead-times.Forces are transferred from the sheet pile to the anchor bar through waling sections that run the length of the wall. At the front wall these are normally placed behind the wall (i.e. earth side) and at the anchor wall the non-bearing side.
