Trench sheet (STD or KD 4/4 or KD 4L) requested that Harbor Commissioners develop a Construction Careers Policy, similar to one passed by the Los Angeles Community Redevelopment Agency (CRA).This section defines the minimum KD 750-10 requirements for the formation and operation of safety committees on the Port of Seattle Construction Project.

The policy would create standards for new construction jobs and require that a certain percentage of these new jobs be allocated to trench sheet, including those KD 4/4 and STD who face barriers to employment. Purpose The dissemination of safety related material from the Contractor to their employees and those of their subcontractors and sub-tier with the aid and benefit of the Trade Union representatives and Port Safety staff.

Where a KD 4 or KD 4/6 or KD 750-10 steel trench sheets are used to support a structure, tolerable movement criteria shall be established in accordance with Articles 4.4, 4.5 and 4.6. Where a wall supports soil on which an adjacent structure is founded, the effects of wall movements and associated backfill settlement on the adjacent structure shall be evaluated. Soil, Rock, and Other Problem Conditions. The length of the KD4/6 meeting should not exceed one (1) hour. Minutes of each committee meeting and the names of those attending shall be documented and filed for a period of at least one (1) year and KD 4/6 shall be KD4 made available for review.

This policy brief examines the economic conditions of L.A.’s struggling communities and the challenges and opportunities presented by job creation in the KD750-10 construction sector. The tenure of those selected and elected employees shall be one (1) year maximum. The adoption of a Port of Los Angeles Construction Careers Policy is KD4L recommended as a way to ensure that the anticipated massive public investment creates good jobs and expands opportunity for local residents, especially those residing near the Port of L.A.To the extent possible, the presence and influence of such conditions shall be evaluated as part of the subsurface exploration program.

STD and KD4/4 & KD4L trench sheeting are an effective tool for managing and furthering the promotion of workplace safety. Any employer with eleven or more employees shall have a designated safety committee composed of employer-selected and employee elected members. Geologic and environmental conditions can influence the performance of retaining walls and their foundations, and may require special consideration during design.

L.A.’s communities have been hit hard by the recession, especially those already suffering from high levels of unemployment. The number of employees elected and the number of employees selected shall be equal in number. An analysis of KD 4L and KD 4 trench sheets data shows that parts of the city with higher than average unemployment are heavily populated by minorities and by those with low levels of educational KD 4 attainment. The committee shall have an elected chairperson. Should a vacancy occur on a committee, a new member would be elected or selected prior to the next scheduled meeting.

Communities directly adjacent to the KD4/4 Port, like Wilmington and San Pedro, have high poverty rates and almost 30 percent of the population relies on public assistance. As a minimum, the subsurface exploration and testing KD 4L programs shall define the following, where applicable: The Safety Committee shall meet on a monthly basis at a KD 4/6, KD 750-10 trench sheeting, and location within reason, identified by the committee. A representative, but not exclusive, listing of problem conditions requiring special consideration is presented for general guidance. Safety and Health Committee shall address the following KD 4/4.

A review of KD4 KD4/6 and KD750-10 trench sheets hazard as listed sheet pile inspections. The elements of the subsurface exploration and testing programs shall be based on the specific requirements of the project and prior experience with the local geological conditions. Evaluation of accident investigations to determine if the cause of the STD unsafe act or condition was properly identified and abated. These meetings shall be held on a monthly basis to discuss safety issues that have arisen.
