Sheet piles HP 140S-4 and HP 140S-5 have experienced unprecedented HP 140S-6 growth as result of increased imports. Deep reinforced footing keys shall be designed as cantilevers supported at the bottom of the footing and they shall be HP 140S-4 designed for the load produced by the force, PR. To reduce the possibility of hand injuries, the Contractor shall ensure that all employees working under their control, including subcontractors and sub-tiers, utilize gloves while HP 140S-5 working on Port Construction Projects.

However, the communities adjacent to the Port of Los Angeles -- Wilmington, Harbor City and San Pedro -- have not seen the benefits of growing HP 140S-6 trade with the Pacific Rim. It is the responsibility of the Contractor to supply the proper glove for the task and train the employees in relation to WAC 296-800-16065.
