Frodingham sheet piles 1 BXN 1N 2N are Z sections produced. Other sections are 3NA 4N 5 IA 1B 2 3 4 sheet pile. For structural steel railings, posts and top and intermediate rails shall be of 2-inch x 2-inch by 3/8 inch angles or other metal shapes of equivalent bending strength, with BXN posts spaced not more than 8 feet on centers. The site's investors also wanted to create stylish new docks for the marina that would withstand the test of time. The average lateral pressure equals p or p depending on the cell dimensions.WAC 296-155-24615 (2)(b)(iv) For wire rope railings, the top and 2N intermediate railings shall meet the strength factor 1N and deflection of (b)(v) of this subsection. As the project's designer and superintendent, Martin knew he needed a structural system that could be built during Idaho's harsh winters and provide needed environmental protection mandated by the Idaho DNR.
The loading is based on the depth, y, to the mid-height of the stretcher under consideration. The top railing shall be flagged at not more than sixfoot intervals with high-visibility material. 3NA Posts shall be spaced not more than eight feet on centers. Developers felt that permanent boat docks built on steel piles would provide the most maintenance-free design for the marina's water level fluctuations. The design forces on the front stretcher shall not be less than the active earth pressure associated with the active failure wedge controlled by the 4N clear opening at the top of the front crib cell. The rope shall be stretched taut and shall be between thirty-nine and forty-five inches in 5 height at all points. The deadload of the member and the weight of wall fill on top of the member shall be considered.Floating 1A 1B docks were first considered but were found to be less attractive (docks lying on the uneven lakebed in winter) and platforms riding up and down on supports would prove too noisy for the envisioned ambience.
Other configurations may be used for the top rail when the configuration meets the requirements of (b)(vii) of this subsection. Turning to an experienced marina builder and designer, Dana Martin of Sandpoint, Idaho, found the answers the investors were seeking (see the sidebar "Why a Seasoned Marina Builder Promotes Precast").
