Installation of AZ Sheet Piling

We have recently commenced installation of AZ sheet piling for BAM Nuttall on the Reading Station Upgrade Project.

The works involve the installation of approximately 150, 14.25m long AZ sheet piling sections in Grade S430GP steel. The AZ sheet piling were ‘Free Issued’ to Service Centre, in loose singles for installation using a Giken Z pile press.

Commenting on the AZ sheet piling installation scheme, Managing Director noted “Technically this was an extremely difficult project which involved installation of the longest single AZ sheet piling to be installed using a Z pile press in the UK to date”.
