Pan Type Sheet Piles Capping System

We designed the Pan type sheet piles capping system to be more cost effective and faster than any on-site “lash ups”. With unskilled labor the Soffit panel cab and Redeb bracket can be assembled and re-used. The machine makes it unnecessary to weld or cut piles. In addition, individual plywood soffit panels do not have to be specially cut out to match pile pans.

Traditionally, brackets are welded against piles to carry shuttering timber and longitudinal beams. These brackets are eventually burned off, thereafter their stubs ground down and the paintwork of the piles is restored. The pile capping system makes this process completely unnecessary.

Advantages of the Redeb support bracket include a simpler, faster and cheaper method to support the soffit shutter. This is used for the construction of a concrete cap on Z and U shaped piles. In addition, the Redeb support bracket has a long life span when correctly used and maintained and is a light and robust product. The Redeb support bracket is specially designed for use on Pan type sheet piles. There are three models: RSB500, RSB600 and RSB700.

In the framework of the Soffit Shutter Panel are rectangular rods, which can freely slide within set limits. The Redeb brackets secure the panel, which pushes the rectangular bars towards the Pan type sheet piles. The rectangular bars start moving at the deepest part of each pile. Thereafter the bars will deck out the soffit area. Lastly, the bars will assume the shape of the Pan type sheet piles including the distortion, which occurs during driving.

The structural members of the panel retain the decking bars and they are capable of carrying normal loads if supported on Redeb brackets at “one-pair” of pile centers. In this case, additional structural support is not necessary.

• The panel will fit all known Pan type sheet piles and may also be used on continuous piles;

• There are two lengths of panel, 2.5m and 3m. the 3m must be used for the 750mm wide pile sections;

• The panels are intended for mechanical handling with the 2.5m weighting 360kg and the 3.0m panel weighting 430kg.

The Redeb Support Bracket can be used for a wide range of pile cap situations, but there are certain limitations, which should be taken into account before specifying the equipment for any given job.
