A new multi-piling system, especially designed to be mounted to a excavator, is revolutionising a Queensland sheet pile and earthmoving company.
We have invented the single unit attachment, which mounts to the excavator, that can either drill or pile drive.
No one has ever come up with something like this before on an excavator. It makes the excavator just so much more versatile.
The drill and the pile driver are attached to the one unit. You just need to unhook the auger and attach the sheet pile and away you go. It cuts piling time down dramatically. It’s two to three times faster than a standard pile driver and drill. It’s also guaranteed to get your piles to depth, as toe in is critical
Without the multi-piling system you’d have to bring in two machines to do the one job, a drill rig and a sheet pile driver. This is just one attachment for the excavator. It’s incredibly fast. It literally is a 10 second job to switch from drilling to piling. It’s a very simple design the way it hinges and pivots.
We have a reach of 13 metres. This is an extra 5 metres in reach compared to any other 35 tonne excavator. This is a major advantage when it comes to sheet pile and drilling.
One of the first major jobs was the installation of 10 metre sheet pile on the north and south sides of the Queensland M1 Motorway near Nerang for Allen Ward drainage The job was completed in record time do to the multipiling system and 2 piece boom.
This is the only excavator-mounted machine that can install10 metre sheet pile, with ease, in Australia. In fact, it’s probably the only type of its kind anywhere in the world. It is also fitted with 900mm grousers for low ground pressure and added stability in soft ground where machine stability is essential.
