Where soldier pile walls (Berlin walls) are technically impractical, sheet piling is widely used as support of construction pits and/or trenches.
Sheet piling walls are a sequence of continuous interlocking sheet piles that are hammered, vibrated (high-frequency vibration) or driven into the ground. The wall must be able to withstand all the ground pressures imposed, whereby bending moment loads and lateral earth pressures in particular are of prime importance. Here, particular attention is paid to deformations of both the soil and the wall.
We stock a vast range of steel sections, partitions and sheet piles available in different lengths and types.
