By applying static pressure to sheet piles, we can avoid any damaging vibrations when installing an earth-retention or damming sheet piles construction. It also prevents compaction of the subsoil, which further reduces the risk of environmental damage or damage to neighbouring buildings. In addition, it keeps noise nuisance to a minimum. All things considered, the pressure-based installation of sheet piles is generally a good alternative if high-frequency vibration has been ruled out as an installation technique owing to environmental factors.
When it comes to pressing in sheet piles, we have at its disposal two pressure rigs developed by the company itself. These rigs are capable of generating a maximum pressure force of 180 tonnes and a maximum tractive force of as much as 240 tonnes. One can install planks up to as much as 25 meters in length. The slightly smaller can install planks of up to 19.5 metres, but if necessary the leader of this crane can be extended, allowing it to press in planks of up to 23.5 metres.
The pressure rigs are transported with a fixed leader and thus can be made operational extremely quickly. The sheet piles is installed in batches of four individual planks, which ensures a high rate of productivity.
