AZ sheet piles have Larssen and Hoesch types. And they were supplied by the client in terms of required capacity. The wale structure usually composes of two channels set back to back or I-beam section to provide needed rigidity of wall panels between tie rods. Type AZ26, AZ26-700, AZ18-700,AZ14-770,AZ24-700 are normally used as HZ sheet piles. AZ36- 700N, AZ38-700N, AZ46, AZ48, AZ50 types are produced by Arcelor and Arcelormittal.
When stacking piles on site it is recommended that they are placed on timber or steel spacers to allow straps or chains to be placed around the bundles. The Ras Al Khaimah Port development is located in Ras Al Khaimah, UAE. An existing port is to be extended by reclaiming land behind a permanent sheet pile wall.
It is recommended that AZ sheet piling bundles are stacked not more than 4 high to prevent excessive loads on the bottom tier. Designs undertaken in all of these projects were in conformance with the relevant British Standards. The spacers should be placed at regular intervals up to 4m apart along the length of the piles and it is recommended that the overhang is limited to 1.5m. The design proposed is AZ sheet piles wall tied to an anchoring wall of smaller sheet piles.
We proposed to use larrssen sheet piles fabricated sheet piles for the Main Wall and the Anchor Wall. The bending moment experienced by the wale section is then determined by 10. Bundles should ideally be staggered in plan - as illustrated above to AZ sheet pile provide stability. We also covered the following scope: Calculation of sheet pile modulus and Connection detail of sheet pile and tieback system
AZ36-700N, AZ38-700N, AZ46, AZ48, AZ50 types are produced by Arcelor and Arcelormittal.
