Driveability the sheet piles KD400/5 D28478 KD400/5.5 D28404 need to be performed for Impact Driven KD400/6 D28384 sheeting.Performing work over water has always been more difficult and costly than performing the same work on land. And when the KD 400/5 is performed below water, the difficulties and cost difference KD 400/5.5,KD 400/6 can increase geometrically with the depth at which the work is performed.
Since KD400/5,KD400/5.5 are usually constructed within water, the sheet piles are installed using preconstructed templates that permit the KD400/6 positioning of each sheet pile from a barge.There are different types of cofferdam, KD 400/5 IS used to support excavation operation and some are enclosed type box placed in the water. The focus of this lesson is on the latter type.
The trench sheet KD 400/6 is a watertight timber or reinforced-concrete box having a bottom but KD 400/5,KD 400/5.5, top. It's use KD400/5.5 is convenient when there is no excavation and the bottom of the river is more or less level;KD400/5 also may rest on top of piles. The caisson is constructed on shore and floated to the site.
