With a cast-in-place concrete design, pumping and shoring formwork would be required as well as protective tenting and heat to protect the concrete during coldweather curing. Other types, sizes, and FSP Z-38 arrangements of railing construction are acceptable, provided they meet the following conditions.More importantly, heavy ready-mixed concrete trucks FSP Z-45 were not permitted to travel on the local roads during the winter due to the damage they might cause during seasonal freeze-thaw cycles. A smooth surfaced top rail at a height between 39 inches and 45 inches above floor, platform, runway, or ramp level. It is understood and accepted by the Port of Seattle that the Contractor has familiarized itself with general Airport operations and has taken these into consideration in arriving at its bid prices and in scheduling its various activities.
